Archaeology Magazine - From Farm to Emperor's Table

Archaeological work in southern Italy has uncovered a Roman imperial estate that produced wine and grain for the Emperor in Rome. By analyzing the site through a variety of scientific techniques, researchers hope to learn about the Roman presence in Italy's heel, and how imperial estates were maintained.
